Library Cards

Resident – Free to residents of New Buffalo City, New Buffalo Township, Chikaming Township, Michicard holders, and teachers employed by New Buffalo Schools.

Non-Resident – Fee basis of $12.00 per person per year, or $24.00 per family per year. – Cards are prorated on a monthly basis during the year of issuance, Thereafter, renewals will be due January 1 and patrons will not be allowed to checkout materials until the yearly fee has been paid.

Books, Audio Books and Video Booksguide

3 week checkout. 2 renewals allowed. $0.10 per day late fee.

7-Day Books

7 day checkout. NO renewals. $1.00 per day late fee. High demand reserve books.

7 day checkout. NO renewals. $0.10 per day late fee. Holiday and other specified titles.

2 week checkout. NO renewals. $0.10 per day late fee. (Selected newest issues remain in the library for one week.)

 

DVDs and VHS

3 day check out, 3 DVD/VHS per family. No renewals. $1.00 per day late fee.
Children's VHS (only) 3 week check out. Located in Children's dept.

Reference Books

NOT loaned, but you are welcome to use them at the library. You may also make photo copies (Patron cardholders may have up to (5) free photocopies per day from the non-circulating reference materials.)

The New Buffalo Township Public Library hosts a great book sale available to the public. This book sale is comprised of discarded library materials as well as donations. Although mostly consisting of books, the sale also offers some magazine and book-on-cassette titles as well. Below are fixed prices for all available materials in the book sale:
Inter-Library Loan is avalible on a local level at this moment. We hope to expand this service with Mel Cat in the future

 

 

WE ALSO HAVE 7 INTERNET ACCESS COMPUTER STATIONS FOR ADULTS AND 4 FOR CHILDREN - FREE. THERE IS A ONE HOUR TIME LIMIT ON EACH STATION AND YOU MUST SIGN UP AT THE DESK.
